Parks and Recreation Plans

Check out the Draft Parks and Recreation Master Plan

Our Parks Committee is working to finalize the Township’s Parks and Recreation Master Plan.

Residents were invited to review the draft plan and provide feedback before it was submitted to the Township Board for consideration. During its Oct. 26 meeting, the Board approved a 30-day public comment period, which is now closed, and a Dec. 14 public hearing on the master plan.  The draft plan can be viewed at any time clicking the pdf below or by using the following link: Draft Parks and Recreation Master Plan 2023-2027. A printed copy of the draft plan is also available at the Cascade Township Office, 5920 Tahoe Drive SE, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Board is scheduled to vote on the plan’s adoption during its Dec. 14 meeting.
A year ago, Township staff and the Parks Committee started creating the five-year plan to help guide development of the township’s parks, recreation and open space as well as provide eligibility for potential grants through the Department of Natural Resources. This draft plan is the result of a 2021 community engagement survey that received nearly 1,000 responses.
